The tour will feature different opening acts, with American Idol winner Caleb Johnson opening for the July 7 – Aug. 10 shows and The Dead Daisies setting the table for the Aug. 10 – Sept. 10 performances. A large number of shows are in the Northeast and Midwest, but the band has set more shows will likely be announced soon.
KISS rose to prominence in the 1970’s and became known as one of the most entertaining and creative live acts in the world, using unique costumes, set designs, face paint and theatrics such as fire-breathing and smoke-emitting guitars.
The band reunited formally in the late ‘90s and early 2000’s, but afterwards founding guitarist Ace Frehley departed to pursue a solo project.
The touring lineup will feature founding members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley with Eric Singer on drums and Tommy Thayer on lead guitar.
